Summary:
|
The District has been informed by PACOG about the Infrastructure
Investment and Jobs Act, adopted by Congress on November 6, 2021, and the potential benefits that will be derived from the Act by Pueblo County. The County is expected to receive between approximately $4 and $7 billion dollars in matching grants, competitive grants, and formula funding in the coming years. PACOG has asked for a Wish List from each member entity, including Pueblo School District No. 60, to be submitted before December 8, 2022. The categories are: airports, broadband, electric vehicles and buses, environment, power and the grid, passenger and freight rail, public transit, resiliency, roads and bridges, safety and research, and water.

The Board of Education is asked to consider and potentially take action to identify its priorities for the County’s use of the funds to be received under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in a way that promotes the best interests of the school community as presented in the November 15, 2022 Board materials.
