Summary: The Board of Education is asked to proclaim National School Psychology Week (NSPW) November 7-11, 2022. This year's theme, "Together We Shine" is derived from how we see hope after several challenging years. We have all faced difficulties created by the pandemic, social injustice and inequity, economic stress, and challenges to mental and physical health. For some, it has been a time of real darkness, and finding light is critical to building resilience and hope.

2022 National School Psychology Week November 7-11, 2022

Whereas, The National Association of School Psychologists has
designated November 7-11, 2022 as National School Psychology
Week to highlight the important work school psychologists and other
educators do to help promote the personal and academic success of
children and youth; and
Whereas, Children’s mental health is directly linked to their learning
and well-being; and
Whereas, School psychologists collaborate on teams with teachers,
counselors, administrators, students and parents/guardians to
prepare all students to succeed; and
Whereas, Pueblo School District No. 60 recognizes the critical role of
school psychologists in promoting students’ academic development
as well as their social, emotional, and physical well-being; and
Therefore be it Resolved, that the Pueblo School District No. 60
Board of Education hereby proclaims November 7-11, 2022 as
National School Psychology Week in District 60 and commends
observance to all of our school community.
