Summary: The Board of Education is asked to approve the Memorandum of Understanding Between Pueblo Community College (PCC) and Pueblo School District 60 for the purpose of promoting and implementing the PCC Upward Bound Programs in the High Schools of Pueblo School District 60.

PCC seeks to create a college going culture within the local school districts and encourage students to pursue their education beyond high school by working collaboratively with the High School and PCC. The Upward Bound Program will serve to promote PCC and provide daily contact for high school students to obtain information and services regarding all aspects of PCC including admissions, registration, financial aid, concurrent enrollment, and various other opportunities at the college. PCC will staff Upward Bound/Trio representatives who will be on site at Centennial High School, Central High School, East High School and South High School.

Recommendation: The Board of Education approves the Memorandum of Understanding Between Colorado Pueblo Community College and Pueblo School District 60 as presented in the February 22, 2022 Board materials.
