The Board of Education is asked to declare its support for Proposition II as a matter of official concern before the electorate of the District in November 2023 as a measure that would allow the state to keep and spend $23.65M in tax revenue that has already been collected from the sale of cigarettes, tobacco and nicotine products, maintain the current tax rates on those products, and authorize the future tax revenue to be spent on preschool programs. |
