The Board of Education is asked to accept the Colorado Department of Education Computer Science Education Grant in the amount of $10,000.00. The district has been awarded this grant to promote equity and access to computer science education as well as increase enrollment and participation in computer science activities for traditionally underrepresented groups. Funds will be used to purchase robotics to be used in the classroom, support the annual district Hour of Code and Computer Science Convention (CSCon) events, launch a campaign to increase awareness and enrollment in computer science courses, and support student CS Clubs at schools. |
